The Student's Book contains 20 short Units (plus 3 Extended Reading sections)
providing lots of variety for students with different interests. All Units
follow a similar, clear and simple 10-step format, so that learning how
to use the material is a quick and easy task that does not have to be
repeated.

- What's new? - lists the Subjects or Topics, Functions and new
Language introduced in each Unit.
- Viewpoint - facts, quotes and pictures provide warm-up activities
for the Unit.

the fold-out covers of the Student's Book.

based on two authentic texts per Unit. These provide contrasting or
complimentary views of the Topic, which lead to discussion.

to activate key functional language. The Language Banks are helpful
again here in developing more open discussion.
- Watch and Listen - Audio or video LISTENING on DVD with both
pre-listening and listening comprehension exercises.

based on the Scenarios in Workbook.
- Controversy - role play with ideas suggested each group.
- Portfolio writing - Large variety of WRITING tasks, including
both practical and creative writing genres.
- CLIL - integrated cross-curricular study with short reading

activities leading up open class discussions.
